About the Artist

Heidi Acuff - Biography

Artist Heidi Acuff

"Artists see the world in a different way. This vision is a gift."

Heidi has trained under some of the best artists in the industry. She continues studying art, taking workshops and classes with known artists to excel in the art of oil painting. Some of her instructors of workshops and classes include Stan Miller, Joe Kronenberg, Tina Garrett, William Suys, Charles Dayton and Kyle Paliotto. She is influenced by many, developing a style of her own.

Heidi has drawn as far back as she can remember.  She grew up on a farm with a huge variety of animals, domestic and wild that still influence her subject matter today. Gaining notoriety in high school and receiving several awards, Heidi attended Colorado Institute of Art for graphic design but realized if she was going to pursue art it would be fine art. It has always been in the back of her mind to someday be able to return to her passion…oil painting.

With family being first, Heidi and her husband Pat raised their son Colby who is now a successful country music artist in Nashville, TN. Satisfied with successful careers, in 2018 Heidi returned to painting. October 2021, Heidi opened her art studio in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where she holds shows and paints today. The placard on her easel reads "Dreams don't work unless you do."
